Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Royal AM defender Ricardo Nascimento has found a new club.
The Brazilian defender spent five and a half seasons at Chloorkop, winning five league titles before his eventual exit.
Following his departure from Sundowns, he spent a season and a half at Royal AM but left just before the end of last season.
Now the 36-year-old has resurfaced in the Brazilian lower leagues, signing a two-year deal with Rio Branco EC. The club is based in Americana, São Paulo.
“After a very long stay abroad, it is a great happiness to return to where it all began and in the city where I grew up with my family,” ” he said after joining the new club.
“Rio Branco is my second home, I hope I can help [the club] a lot.”
Nascimento made 175 appearances in South African football, scoring twenty goals with two assists to his name.
