Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has warned his side about of their wounded DStv Premiership opponents, Golden Arrows.
Abafana Bes’thende are currently on a five-match losing, while the Buccaneers are unbeaten in five, winning four of those fixtures.
In direct clashes, Pirates are also unbeaten in four matches against Sunday’s opponents, but Ncikazi has warned his side of Arrows, saying he doesn’t like to play teams that are out of form.
“We’re playing against a very good counter-attacking team, we have to be very alert about their strengths,” he told the club’s media team.
“But we want to continue with our momentum, trying to win the next match.
“The matches in this period are very important and that’s what we’ve prepared for and that’s what we’re trying to do, get three points so that we just continue with our objectives.
“Teams that are not doing well are the most dangerous ones, so I rather play other teams.
“So one, that’s the team where we have to be at our best, playing against a team like Arrows, playing in Hammarsdale, the pitch not being very perfect.
“One, we have to play for the result, play the conditions, play the field. It’s important, especially at this stage of the season.”
The game kicks off at 15:30 at Mpumalanga Stadium on Sunday and Pirates could jump into third spot on the log with a win.
