Ndah Sends Message To Bucs Fans

Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah has sent a message to his club’s supporters after Friday’s CAF Confederation Cup final defeat.

The 24-year-old has had a standout debut campaign for the Buccaneers but wasn’t able to prevent them from losing to RS Berkane on penalties.

The final, though, felt like a home final for Ndah after his former side Akwa United hosted the Buccaneers

“My thanks to the faithful Pirates, for their support throughout the season. Come what may, we strive to make you proud. Onto the next,” he said on social media.

Friday’s final was also a home final for Ndah, with his former club Akwa United hosting Pirates in Uyo for their preparations for the match, with many fans in the stadium also supporting Ndah and the Buccaneers.

“My greatest of thanks goes out to all the Akwa United supporters who came through to the CAFCC final in Uyo to support my team,” he added.

“It was a pleasure to play the beautiful game at home in front of you all. Playing in Uyo was overwhelming for me and a special thanks to Akwa United chairman, Paul Bassey.”

Pirates and Ndah are returning to action on Tuesday evening when they will face Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership.
