Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants have both announced their starting XIs for today’s Nedbank Cup final at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
The Nedbank Cup comes to an end in a very fascinating final on Saturday as DStv Premiership champions Sundowns take on 2021 champions Gallants, who lifted the trophy last year when they will still called Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
Both teams have squads that will play on the front foot and have their sights set on ending their respective campaign on a high.
Masandawana could complete the domestic for a first time in history after they already lifted the Premiership and MTN8 trophies this season.
Gallants, however, look forward to adding their own bit of history, by engraving a new name on the Nedbank Cup trophy. They did knock Sundowns out of this competition in the semi-finals last year after holding them to a goalless draw before progressing on penalties.
This campaign, Downs beat Gallants 4-0 in November, while the two team drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture a month later.
Masandawana’s Pavol Safranko and Bahlabane Ba Ntwa’s Sede Dion come into this encounter with the exact same goal scoring records of three goals in four games, making them a major contributing factor to each team’s successful run within the competition.
Here is how they line up:
Marumo Gallants XI: Arubi, Khiba, Gumede, Mabotja, Nonyane, Timm, Ngema, Otladisa, Sibeko, Ndlondlo, Molangoane.
Subs: Ndlovu, Dion, Makudubela, Manaka, Ravhuhali, Mphambaniso, Kumalo, Lamola, Nhlapo.
Mamelodi Sundowns XI: Mweene, Kekana, B. Onyango, Lakay, Mudau, Jali, Maboe, Kutumela, Sirino, Maema, Shalulile.
