Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana continues to shine in Romania after being named in the Team of the Week.
The FCSB defender started the season slowly, as expected from someone who is not familiar with the league. The 26-year-old has been rock solid for the Romanian side despite only keeping three clean sheets under his belt.
After an outstanding performance against last season’s Superliga runners-up CFR Cluj in a 1-1 draw, Ngezana has been named in the Superliga team of the week for match day 19.
He is the only FCSB player in the squad. There has been rumours that French Ligue 1 side Lorient FC is interesting on the former Chiefs youth development and the Romanian side is will to let him go for a right price.
FCSB remain top of the Superliga table with 33 points, are five points clear. They aim to win their first league title since the 2014/15 season.
