Nigeria have confirmed that Victor Osimhen has caught up with the rest of the squad and it fit to face Bafan Bafana.
Osimhen, 25, has started all five games for Nigeria at the AFCON so far, scoring once and setting up two more.
The reigning African Footballer of the Year is one of the key players in Jose Peseiro’s squad but he’s suffered from an “abdominal discomfort” and initially didn’t travel with his team.
However, he’s now joined his teammates in Bouaké after being declared fit by the medical team.
“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday. He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today,” the Super Eagles said via a statement.
The semi-final between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria kicks off at 19:00 on Wednesday.
