Official: Benni’s Technical Team Confirmed

The Kenyan Football Federation have confirmed Benni McCarthy’s technical team at the Harembe Stars includes three more South Africans.

McCarthy was unveiled as new head coach of the East African side on Monday.

Along with him, he had his former Orlando Pirates teammate Moeneeb Josephs, who will join him as Goalkeeper Coach.

Meanwhile, Vasili Manousakis will join as assistant coach, as previously reported by iDiski Times, while McCarthy also roped in his former AmaZulu analyst Pilela Maposa.

All of them have signed two-year deals in Kenya, the FKF confirmed on Monday.

“After a rigorous selection process, we are confident that Benni McCarthy is the right person to the lead the national team forward,” stated FKF president Hussein Mohammed.

“His experience, vision, and commitment to developing Kenyan football align perfectly with our ambitions.

“Alongside him, we welcome Vasili Manousakis as Assistant Coach, Moeneeb Josephs as Goalkeeper Coach, and Pilela Maposa as Performance Analyst.

“This team brings wealth of expertise, and we believe they will instil tactical discipline, structure, and a winning mentality as we prepare for the upcoming competitions.”

McCarthy and his team will immediately take charge as Kenya faces Gambia and Gabon in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
