Administrator-turned-coach Morgan Mammila has made a sensational comeback to football after leaving Chippa United recently.
Mammila has been appointed as technical advisor to the Dube Birds, following the departure of head coach Ernst Middendorp.
Middendorp left the Swallows following the humbling 4-1 loss to Orlando Pirates early this month, taking over the post at third division side in Germany – SV Meppen.
Musa Nyatama was installed as the caretaker coach until the end of the season, but he lost his first game in charge against Golden Arrows before the FIFA break.
Mammila was in the stands in the game, raising eyebrows that he was getting the Swallows post.
Swallows boss David Mogashoa has also been seen throwing teasers on his twitter account with Mammila, before his appointment was announced on Friday.
Mammila was clubless after leaving the Chili Boys recently, having taken over from Daine Klate in September last year.
He immediately made his presence felt, winning four league games on the bounce – becoming the first coach at the club to do so.
But results went dry, leaving the club having won only five in 15 league matches, one in the second half of the season, with Chippa dropping close to the relegation zone.
Mammila had announced his retirement from coaching after leaving Chippa, where he has since been replaced by Kurt Lentjies, who is coming back at the club for the second bite having saved them from relegation last term.
