Polokwane City and Orlando Pirates have confirmed their starting line-ups for the DStv Premiership encounter at Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon.
City resumed the DStv Premiership season with a win 1-0 against Moroka Swallows away from home. Rise and Shine were then eliminated in the Nedbank Cup by Richards Bay 3-2.
They will be playing at home for the first time since their 1-0 loss against Kaizer Chiefs in December. The Orange Army is closer to the top eight than to relegation after accumulating 24 points in 17 games.
Pirates on the other hand haven’t won a league match since their 2-1 win against struggling Lamontville Golden Arrows in December. Buccaneers find themselves 16 points behind table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
The sea robbers lost to SuperSport United, Stellenbosch FC before playing a 1-1 draw against Sundowns. Jose Riveiro will look to keep hopes of qualifying for the CAF inter-club competition by winning this match.
These two sides faced each other 19 times, Pirates won eight, City won three while eight ended in a draw.
