Radebe Reacts To Chiefs’ Mako & Monyane Signings

Kaizer Chiefs legend Lucas Radebe has admitted that he feels let down with the club’s acquisition of former Orlando Pirates players Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane.

The defensive duo saw their stay at the club come to an end with their contracts not up for renewal which prompted Amakhosi to swoop in and snap them up on a free.

Speaking to iDiski Times senior writer Matshelane Mamabolo, the former Bafana Bafana captain did not shy away from the topic of free agents, something the club has become known for in recent years.

“I think it’s not what Kaizer Chiefs used to be,” he said.

“I think we need to have a proper scout where they looking for new talent. I mean these nowadays football is changing. You need in order for coaches to do well, they need ever ready players.

“Which for me I think it let us down and I think it’s all about now development. Going to the grassroots and uproot the players that will actually play better that are hungry enough to make it in this level of the game.”
