Ramovic Reveals Real Reason For Shock Galaxy Exit

Former TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has revealed ambition as his biggest reason for exiting the Mpumalanga-based outfit.

Ramovic resigned on national television last week after his side’s 1-1 draw away at Stellenbosch in the league. The result was only Galaxy’s second point in the league this season so far as they languish at the bottom of the log with just two points in six outings, while they have also been eliminated from the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cups.

The German-born mentor’s work at the club cannot be denied having led the Rockets to the final of the league cup and their highest finish in the league (sixth) with a club record of 44 points in the last campaign.

Ramovic spoke to iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler in the latest edition of the newspaper where he revealed that his ambitions call for him to go a different direction where there is better financial stability.

“I must consider the path that best aligns with my goals and ambitions as a coach,” Ramovic told iDiski Times.

“This club, which operates on a model requiring player sales for sustainability, has given me so much, but my desire to compete for trophies at the highest-level calls for a different direction, where financial stability can better support such ambitions.

“I must be true to my vision and ambition. I want to lead a team with the capability and resources to consistently challenge for trophies – a pursuit that demands a different kind of stability and long-term investment.

“I have the hunger, drive, and relentless dedication to compete at the highest level, and I am determined to see how far that passion can take me. This decision is not born out of dissatisfaction but out of ambition to push my limits. My relationship with the chairman and everyone at this club remains one of deep respect and gratitude.

“Here, I have grown not only as a coach but as a person, learning from some of the best minds in the league and facing challenges that sharpened my skills and resolve.

“I am prepared to give everything, to endure sacrifices, and to embrace the demanding path that leads to success. Winning titles is not simply an end-goal, it is a testament to hard work, sacrifice, and an unyielding commitment to excellence. I am humble enough to know that there are many great coaches out there, all waiting for an opportunity with an ambitious club.

“But I am wise enough to know that no one works harder than I do. I am ready to pay the price of pain, to embrace the sacrifices and challenges required, all for the pursuit of those fleeting moments of happiness — winning titles.”
