Jose Riveiro’s former club Inter Turku have sent a message to the Orlando Pirates head coach after he lifted his first trophy in South Africa.
The 45-year-old guided Pirates to their fourth MTN8 title since 2008, meaning the club will be allowed to keep the MTN8 trophy for a lifetime.
It was his first trophy since joining club in July, with many being impressed how the Spaniard has transformed the Buccaneers since his arrivals.
It was also the first trophy in his managerial career after stints with FC Honko, PK-35 and HJK Helsinki as assistant manager, before his first head coach role with Inter Turku.
The latter have since sent a message to the Spaniard and his technical team of assistant Sergio Almenara and fitness coach Michel Bellver Esteve for their first exploits in South Africa.
“Congratulations to José Riveiro, Sergio Almenara and Michel Bellver, who coached FC Inter’s representative team last year, to the South African Cup Championship,” Turku wrote on social media.
“Congratulations coach Riveiro, Sergio Almenara and Michel Bellver.”
