Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club side returned to winning ways with a convincing 5-0 thrashing of Jeunesse Massira in the Excellence Cup.
The Red Castle suffered their second defeat since the appointment of Mokwena and the first in the Excellence Cup, narrowly going down 1-0 to Jeunesse Sportive Soualem earlier this week.
It has been a frustrating start for Mokwena since joining the Moroccan giants from Mamelodi Sundowns, with a wholesome change on the players and technical team taking time to correlate on the philosophy.
The latest win for Mokwena’s troops will give them a boost going forward as they look to close the gap on the chasing pack.
Former Sundowns defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil opened the scoring for the visitors in 14th minute before Pedrinho made it 2-0 in the 40th minute.

In added time of the first period, Arthur converted from the penalty spot to make it 3-0. Zakaria Moudayane then added the fourth of the evening in the 68th minute before Chouaib Faidi rounded off the scoring in the 78th minute as they ran out 5-0 victors.
