SA-Eligible Keeper Leaves Man United On Loan

Manchester United goalkeeper Elyh Harrison, who is eligible to play for Bafana Bafana, has completed a loan move to Shrewsbury Town FC.

Harrison, 19, has come through United’s development, having played for the club’s U18s and U21s before he was loaned out to Chester FC where he made 29 appearances.

In 2023/24 season, Harrison won the U18 FA Cup with the Red Devils, but he will now continue his career with Shrewsbury Town, who are competing in League Two in England after they were relegated last season having finished bottom of League One with 33 points in 46 games.

They could potentially face Man United in the FA Cup, as they also get an opportunity to compete the world’s oldest cup competition.

Harrison, who was born in Redbridge, England, has represented England at U18, U19 and U20 level but he is available to play for Bafana through his South African mother.
