Sales Rates 24/25 Season

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Arthur Sales reckons that despite injury setbacks, he’s had a brilliant debut season at the club.

The 22-year-old towering marksman joined the Brazilians from Belgian outfit Lommel SK in July 2024 for a reported fee of over R60 million.

He has however netted just nine goals with 10 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions but still believes he can hugely improve for the upcoming term after learning a lot at the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.

“In the beginning I started slow in the premiership, I have two injuries then I can improve a little bit better in the last games,” Sales told the media.

“But we are strong for the next season. Of course, you learn too much things here [CWC]. You give confidence when you play this one, another place look for you then this guy played against [Borussia] Dortmund, against Fluminense – this guy played World Cup. And then we need show why we played the World Cup and then play better next season.

“I think it’s brilliant, brilliant season.

“I know it’s about the Champions League final. We lost this one but the fans, the people is looking for you and feeling proud.

“After this World Cup, I think when we back to South Africa, I think everyone is proud of us you know. You see we give 100% in the pitch.

“We try to show you’re playing football then.”
