Sekhukhune United have sacked reserve side head coach Lizo Mjempu following a run of poor results.
Mjempu was appointed as the head coach of the Babina Noko DStv Diski Challenge outfit at the beginning of the current season.
Sekhukhune have struggled for consistency, finding themselves sitting in ninth position with 26 points after 21 games. They conceded 32 goals and scored 31.
Last weekend, young Babina Noko were leading 3-1 against Bernard Parker’s TS Galaxy before the Rockets came back to make it 3-3 in a space of 15 minutes and missed a penalty in the 90th minute.
This publication has established that Sekhukhune management couldn’t take the way the club has been performing anymore and decided to call in Mjempu and broke the news that his services were no longer needed at the club.

The leading candidate for the job is the experienced Kaitano Tembo, who was the assistant coach of Lehlohonolo Seema in the senior side before the appointment of Eric Tinkler.
Should Tembo take charge, it will be until the end of the season, with the hope of leading Babina Noko to a respectable spot.
