Stellenbosch FC, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns all picked up wins but defending champions Kaizer Chiefs were handed their first defeat of the season by TS Galaxy in what was a fierce DStv Diski Challenge weekend.
Pirates registered their second victory of the season after beating Chippa United 1-0 leaving it late from Thuto Sesipi.

Sundowns and Durban City got off a good start with City breaking the deadlock in the seventh minute through Lindokuhle Chonco which was his fourth goal of the campaign.
Five minutes later, Sundowns levelled matters through Oarabile Booysen who beat City goalkeeper Lwandile Mbanjwa hands down. Three minutes later, Downs took the lead from Bennet Mokoena after a well-taken penalty. Flood gates opened as Sundowns made it 3-1 in the 26th minute with Mokoena completing his brace. Five minutes before halftime, Mokoena completed his hat-trick to make it 4-1. A minute later, Mokoena made it four goals in one match extending the lead to 5-1. Daine Klate had a lot to say to his boys in the dressing room as they had a mountain to climb. City pulled one back in the 87th minute from the penalty spot with Chonco completing his brace.
On Sunday, the Rockets beat Chiefs by a solitary goal which came through an error from the back. Gopolang Taunyana and Naphtali Mokoena fail to communicate. Mokoena tried to clear the ball, but it hit Taunyana and found the back of the net for an own goal inside two minutes.
Stellenbosch returned to winning ways beating table-toppers Richards Bay 2-0 at the Idas Valley Stadium and AmaZulu FC hammered Polokwane City 4-1.
