Sundowns Make Decision On DDC Coach Ahead 24/25 Kick Off

Mamelodi Sundowns have appointed David Notoane as their DStv Diski Challenge coach on an interim basis as they still looking for Sinethemba Badela’s long-term successor.

Badela left the club after just one season to join Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Athletic Club as one of the assistant coaches. The former All Stars FC mentor had guided Downs’ DDC side to a second-place finish in the 2023/24 campaign.

Notoane coached Santos FC and Cape Town All Stars, as well as the South African national U20 and U23 teams. He also served as assistant coach of the Mamelodi Sundowns and the South African senior team in the past.

iDiski Times understand that Notoane will be coaching Sundowns’ DDC side on interim basis, while they still looking to get the successor of Badela.

He has started preparations with the side already, as the DDC campaign is set to start this coming weekend, when Sundowns will face Richards Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Notoane is no stranger to Downs’ DDC side, as he won the title with them in 2016/17.
