Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s MTN8 quarter-final clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
One spot is left in the MTN8 semi-finals, as Sundowns welcome the Natal Rich Boys. Downs didn’t have much time to prepare, as they were busy with FIFA Club World Cup last month.
But Sundowns aim to reach MTN8 semi-final fifth straight season. Miguel Cardoso will be leading Sundowns in this tournament for the very first time.
Meanwhile, the Bay qualified for the MTN8 for the first time since gaining promotion in 2021/22. The KwaZulu-Natal-based side aim to cause an upset by beating Sundowns, which is something they have never done since the club’s existence.
Sundowns come with a great history between the two side, as Bay haven’t scored a single goal against Sundowns in the last five matches.
