Mamelodi Sundowns are set to rope in former Orlando Pirates winger Mark Mayambela into their youth structures.
iDiski Times has learnt that Sundowns are closer to bringing Mayambela into their youth academy, in less than a month after leaving Cape Town City. The UEFA A license holder has been spotted at two Sundowns under-15 games at Balfour Park and TUKS Groenkloof.
The 37-year-old is regarded as one of the best youth coaches after his incredible work he has done at City, helping the side’s under-16 and under-18 teams to be a force in the three years he spent there.
The former Pirates trickster won four major trophies with CTC, under 16 FTIFA Cup twice in 2022 and 2025, he also added the 4th Moment Cup in 2024 and won the Engen Knockout Challenge in 2022 with the U18s.
