Mamelodi Sundowns will meet Kaizer Chiefs in the Home of Legends Cup final on Saturday afternoon.
In a much-changed Sundowns starting line-up which saw them field loanees Siyanda Msani, Camagu Mdevulana and Thando Buthelezi appeared on the bench it was very much experimental from Sundowns.
The likes of Reyaad Pieterse, Rushine De Reuck, Erwin Saavedra also was named in the eleven and it was Msani who opened the scoring early on.
Sean Ndlovu leveled matters for the hosts before the break, and the game eventually went to penalties as the score was deadlocked after 90 minutes.
Sundowns went on to win 5-3 on penalties with Artur Sales netting the winner.
