SuperSport United proved too strong for Sekhukhune United as they walked 3-1 winners in their DStv Premiership fixture at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
Badra Ali Sangare was called into action in the 8th minute as he made a good diving save to deny Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, as SuperSport piled on the early pressure.
And that early pressure paid off in the 15th minute as Bradley Grobler headed in his fifth of the season, Jamie Webber with the assist.
Victor Letsoalo went close from a set piece in the 24th minute, but Ricardo Goss pulled off a good save to keep his team in the lead.
Two minutes later Webber had the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out for Thamsanqa Gabuza being off side, though replays suggest it was the wrong call.
Goss was needed again in the 33rd minute, this time saving well as Nyiko Mobbie’s powerful strike threatened the goal.
Ditlhokwe went just wide in the 37th minute, as the Botswanan continued to cause problems at set pieces. And he got the goal in the 41st minute, getting a touch at another corner, and while he may not have known too much about it, it was enough to beat Sangare to make it 2-0.
