Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana winger Percy Tau has insisted he has not been approached by Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns over a potential transfer.
Tau, 30, still has one year left on his deal with the Egyptian giants and insisted he is happy at the club.
He has also addressed the constant rumours linking him with a return to South Africa in the current transfer window.
“No one, we’re not talking to anyone,” he told Andile Ncube on Sport Nights Amplified.
“Sundowns?” – “no”, “Chiefs?” – “no”.
“I’ve seen the rumours, there is an opportunity for me at Chiefs, Wydad, Saudi Arabia, some are even saying Tanzania.
“They are just rumours and I don’t really entertain them much.
“I didn’t have the time to speak to the club [Al Ahly] about my contract situation. We didn’t even have time, we were all just happy, we won the league, we won the Champions and we’re getting a rest.
“That’s what I was happy about, to just come home.”
Tau, though, admitted that he would love to finish his career in Mzansi.
“I’d love to come back home and play. I appreciate there is always interest from other teams back home,” he continued.
“We will see when the time arrives, but I’d love to come back home, I’d never rule that one out.
“It would be unfair also to my fans at home, to my mom, she also wants to come to the stadium and see me play. She doesn’t have that opportunity to see me a lot, because the national team it only comes [a few times] during the year.
“I’d love to come back home.”
