Former Moroka Swallows goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa and former Chippa United midfielder Brooklyn Poggenpoel have resurfaced at SuperSport United.
Matsatsantsa had a friendly match against Stellenbosch FC on Thursday, losing 3-1, with Mbanjwa and Poggenpoel featuring in the game.
Gavin Hunt’s side then left for Botswana to continue with their pre-season at the Mayogoleele Pre-Season Tournament.
Former Chippa midfielder Poggenpoel left the Eastern Cape-based side after spending two seasons with the club. The 24-year-old was one of the players released after failing to agree on terms over a new contract.
Meanwhile, Mbanjwa was released by Swallows after the club had financial issues and decided to cut down the number of players. The 28-year-old has also traveled to Botswana with SSU for pre-season.
iDiski Times understands that the Tshwane giants are closing on the duo, as they plan to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Ricardo Goss, Nyiko Mobbie, and Vincent Pule have also traveled after completing moves to the Pretoria giants, as reported by this publication.
