UEFA have announced the Champions League Team of the Season, including four players from Real Madrid.
Los Blancos lifted their 14th European Cup on Saturday after beating Liverpool 1-0 thanks to a goal by Vinicius Jr.
The Brazilian along with teammates Karim Benzema, who won this season’s UCL golden boot with 15 strikes, Luka Nordic and Thibaut Courtois following his Man of the Match performance in the final were all included the selection.
Equally, Liverpool also have four players in the Team of the Season, namely Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson and Fabinho.
The team is completed Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Kylian Mbappe.
However, there was no space for African superstars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the team.
Meanwhile, Karim Benzema was named Champions League Player of the Season after his outstanding campaign for Los Blancos, while his teammates 21-year-old Vinicius Junior was named Young Player of the season.

UEFA confirmed “the team was selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel based on performances in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League”.
