Former PSL referee Victor Hlungwani admits that he was left puzzled on why Saint-Eloi Lupopo player Dieumerci Mukoko was not given his marching orders for an off-the-ball headbutt incident against Masindi Nemtajela.
The red-haired defender became an overnight sensation following his theatrics against Orlando Pirates trended after they booted the Buccaneers out of the CAF Champions League.
Despite Mukoko making further gestures with one suggesting throat slitting, he continued to play the match as the officials sent off Chris Sumbu instead.
“He does what [Zinedine] Zidane did – headbutting. This is a red card! This is violent conduct because the ball is out of play,” said ‘The Principal’.

“Red card. He was supposed to get a red card but they sent off number four which is Sumbu.
“Is he the correct player? the answer is no.”
