Raja Athletic Club head coach Josef Zinnbauer looks keen to sign former Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic.
Raja, who missed out on the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 1-0 to RS Berkane in extra-time of the Throne Cup final over the weekend are aiming to bolster their attacking options for the King Salman Cup.
Nurkovic has now emerged as a potential option with iDiski Times sources confirming he will be assessed on their trip to Qatar where they will face Al Sadd in a friendly clash.
The 31-year-old recently had a training stint with Cape Town City before the end-of-season break but after opting not to sign him, he’s come on the radar of the Botola Pro giants.
Raja face off against the Qatari side on Friday before their Arab Cup group stages kicks off next week where they are in Group D alongside Pitso Mosimane’s Al Wahda, Algerian champions CR Belouizdad and Kuwait SC.
