Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has explained Khama Billiat’s absence against Marumo Gallants on Sunday.

Amakhosi collected a 1-1 draw at Gallants on Sunday, staying rooted to the lower half of the table, with pressure on Zwane mounting.

On Sunday, Billiat was a notable absentee from the Chiefs squad and Zwane explained the forward picked up a knee injury.

“Billiat has got a knee injury, so we’re still missing him,” Zwane said after the match.

“Not only him, Reeve as well and many other players, we’re still working on them.

“But we’ll get it right. When everyone is available then we’re spoilt for selection.”

Billiat had started all six games under Zwane this season, but only collected one assist so far. However, despite his lack of goal involvements, Zwane had insisted throughout that the 32-year-old is an important player in his plans.

Chiefs, who are winless in their last three league games, are back in action on Saturday when they host SuperSport United and their former coach Gavin Hunt at FNB Stadium.
