Bern’s debut had been held up due to a lengthy case involving Cape Town Spurs, who challenged his switch to Usuthu.
Mhlongo also arrives after resolving a drawn-out dispute with Richards Bay.
Zwane noted that the technical team would have loved to have both players much earlier in the campaign.
However, he expressed his excitement at finally having them available and praised the positive energy they bring.
“Good acquisitions, top class players, obviously we wanted to have them on board earlier than [this],” said Zwane.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t happen the way we would have wished. So, in the end, it happened, we’re happy now they will focus on their careers and jobs at hands.
“They will also get to know what is at stake to be part of this team because there’s a lot at stake.
“We know that they are coming with a lot of quality. They have so much qualities.”
