CWC Prize Money Overview – Who Earned Most So Far?

With the group stages of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup now being concluded, a whopping $741 million of the $1 billion prize money pool has already been distributed.

FIFA promised a record-breaking prize money pool, and all 32 participants have secured their first portion of the incentives.

While Mamelodi Sundowns have secured $9.55 million (R171 million, today’s exchange rate) as participation fee plus another $2 million (R36 million) for their win over Ulsan HD and $1 million (R18 million) for the draw with Fluminense, making it $12.55 million (R224 million).

Meanwhile, Manchester City are the top earners at the tournament so far after securing a whopping $51.7 million (R924 million) for three group stage wins, their participation fee, which was $38.2 million (R683 milion) and higher than Sundowns’ due to the club’s higher ranking, plus another $7.5 million (R134 million) for making the Last 16.

Sundowns, though, received the most among African teams, followed by Al Ahly and ES Tunis with $11.6 million (R207 million), while Wydad AC only made the participation fee of $9.6 million (R171 million) after failing to pick up any wins.
