Brazil & Korea XIs Announced

Brazil and South Korea have announced their starting XIs for tonight’s last 16 clash at the Stadium 974.

The Selecao enter the game as clear favourites despite their match day three defeat to Cameroon, while South Korea have already bettered all expectations.

The Asian side progressed from Group H thanks to a 91st minute goal by Hee-Chan Hwang, leaving Luis Suarez and the rest of his Uruguay teammates in tears.

However, Brazil will be vary of South Korea’s threat and their own defeat vs the Indomitable Lions may have been a warning shot at the right time.

Brazil were unbeaten in 17 games and had won nine on the trot before Vincent Aboubakar scored against them in the 92nd minute.

Tite’s side have reached the quarter-final of a World Cup in the last seven editions in a row, with the last time they failed to do so being in 1990 when they were knocked out by Argentina.

Here is how they line up:

Brazil XI: Alisson; Militao, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Danilo; Paquetá, Casemiro; Raphinha, Neymar, Vinicius; Richarlison.

South Korea XI: Seung-Gyu; Jin-Su, Kim Min-Jae, Woo-Young, Moon-Hwan; Young-Gwon, Hwang Inbeom, Jae-Sung; Hwang Hee-Chan, Cho Gue-Sung, Son.
