Morocco & Portugal Confirmed Starting Lineups

Morocco and Portugal confirmed their starting lineup for this evening’s quarterfinal at Al-Thumama Stadium.

It’s Portugal’s first quarterfinal since the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Seleção das Quinas are coming to this game after hammering their neighbours Switzerland by 6-1.

A lot has been said about Cristiano Ronaldo after he was dropped to the bench in their round of 16 against “Red Cross”. Without any doubt this could be Ronaldo’s last push for the World’s showpiece. Ronaldo is once again not in the starting eleven.

Meanwhile, Morocco are in this stage of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history. The Atlas Lions shocked the world when they defeated the world’s number two Belgium in the group stages before eliminating 2010 World Cup champions Spain in the last sixteen.

Morocco has already return some history being the fourth African side to reach this stage, they hope to go even further with this golden generation they have. They remain the hopes of African continent.

Here’s the lineups:

Morocco XI: Bounou, Swiss, El Yamiq, Attiallah, Hakimi, Ambrabat, Ounahi, Amallah, Boufal, Ziyech, Ennesyri

Portugal XI: Diogo Costa, Dalot, Pepe, Rúben Dias, R. Guerreiro, Rúben Neves, Otávio, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, João Félix, Gonçalo Ramos
