Ahly Star Denies Leaking Pitso Tactics
Al Ahly forward Kahraba has distanced himself from being the leak to the media after Pitso Mosimane’s recent press conference statement.
Ahly has enjoyed a perfect start to the 2021/22 Egyptian Premier League with two wins from their opening two games but after the National Bank Ahly clash, Mosimane sparked widespread speculation surrounding his relationship with the Egypt international.
Following the 1-0 in which substitute Mohamed Sherif scored, the media enquired about Kahraba’s absence due to the South African coach suggesting he was part of his plans for the season.
Mosimane stated that he did assure him of a role at the Red Devils but hinted that there’s a problem of someone leaking information before his games.
But Kahraba took to social media to calm down the speculation that’s now been rife in local media.
“Regarding journalists speaking for me, I didn’t give any statements to anyone and if I want to say something I will say it myself,” he said, as per KingFut.
“I have not given a statement to anyone, and I will not give any in the future. Whoever claims I gave out information may confront me, that never happened and never will.
“What am asking of journalists is not to speak for me, I have no friends or relatives that are journalists, and I give no information about my football life to anybody.
“I am asking my fans not to believe what’s being said. Please listen to only what I say myself.”
Mosimane and Kahraba previously had a minor fallout last season after the former Zamalek man refused to shake his hand after a league game due to his anger at being a substitute.
The player was slapped with a R190 000 fine and banned from the first-team squad for one month.
