Shalulile Among 2022 WCQ Top Scorers

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile finished among the top scorers with Namibia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Brave Warriors captain may have missed a penalty in their final Group H game which they lost 1-0 to Togo, but he managed to find the back of the net four times – including one against Senegal last month.

But he was three off the pace of the leader Islam Slimani, who profited with Algeria as they smashed 25 goals in six Group A games. Four of his seven strikes came in the 8-0 thumping of Djibouti.

Les Verts captain Riyad Mahrez, Morocco striker Ayoub El Kaabi, Ibrahima Koné of Mali and Niger all-time record scorer Victorien Adebayor all managed five.
