Brighton Hove and Albion Manager Graham Potter has confirmed they are trying to recall Percy Tau, currently at Anderlecht, from his loan.
Tau, who signed for Brighton three years ago, but has spent all that time at loan in Belgium due to work permit issues.
He was previously on loan at Union SG and Club Brugge.
According to Sky Sports, Brighton are confident they will obtain a Governing Body Endorsement under the new points system, which will be introduced in January after Brexit.
“It’s fair to say it’s something we’re looking to do, but there’s a few things to go through first,” Potter said in a press conference.
“He brings some attributes that are interesting, he has had a good experience in Belgium.”
“He brings something a little bit different to what we have got and he wants to take the next step in his career – we want to help him do that.”
