Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Efmamjjasond González has continued his scoring form at his old club, netting his third goal in four games for Real Santa Cruz.
González spent almost a year in South Africa on loan at Chiefs from Santa Cruz but Amakhosi opted against extending the striker’s deal to a permanent one as he failed to convince in his short spell at the club.
He returned to his mother club Cruz right after his one-season contract expired with Chiefs, and things seem to clicked in his home country.
The 24-year-old scored three goals in his first four games back in Bolivia, netting in a 1-1 with Univ. de Vinto, a 2-2 with Aurora and Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to The Strongest.
His new found goal scoring form is in strong contrast to his time at Naturena where the Colombian marksman failed to register any assist or score a goal in 13 outings across all competitions as the club endured their worst ever finish in topflight football.
