FIFA Issue World Cup Qualifiers Update

FIFA have issued a statement about the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Africa , that were meant to start next month.

The group stage qualifiers were originally meant to start last year in November, but were postponed until early June because of Covid-19 – and they have now been postponed for a second time.

The qualifiers will now only begin in September later this year.

This could be considered good news for Bafana Bafana, who appointed a new coach in Belgian Hugo Broos, on Wednesday. Bafana have been grouped with Ghana, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.
