Official: 2021 Afcon Draw Confirmed
The draw for the Total 2021 Africa Cup of Nations was made in Yaounde, Cameroon on Tuesday evening.
The 24 teams were allocated to four pots of six teams each, based on the latest FIFA World Rankings, with hosts Cameroon and holders Algeria placed in pot one with the top four ranked-nations, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Nigeria.
While Bafana Bafana failed to qualify, there will be COSAFA representation at the tournament, with Zimbabwe, Malawi and the Comoros.
Zimbabwe and Malawi were both drawn in Group B, and will have to fight it out against Guinea and the top seeded Senegal.
The draw was made at a glitzy event in Yaounde, with dignitaries and football legends from across the continent attending.
