Real Madrid have announced that Carlo Ancelotti will replace Zinedine Zidane as the club’s new manager.

Los Blancos are somewhat going back in time, appointing the Italian for a second stint after already leading them between 2013 and 2015.

The 61-year-old has left his role at Everton to take over the vacant position at the Santiago Bernabeu, the club confirmed.

Ancelotti lifted four trophies during his first stint with Real, namely the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League, the 2013/14 Copa del Rey, the 2014 UEFA Super Cup and the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup.

He’s won 75% of his 119 games in charge, which was the best return of his managerial career.
