Pitso Mosimane had once again stated that he wants to sign Percy Tau, comparing the South African winger to Lionel Messi.
Tau had missed Brighton & Hove Albion’s pre-season friendly against Getafe due to “personal reasons”, according to coach Graham Potter.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes it is believed that he missed the game due to his imminent move to Al Ahly, where he has agreed to a three-year contract, as per FilGoal.
On Monday, Mosimane once again underlined his ambition to sign Tau, comparing him to superstar Messi.
“Percy is a strong man, he is like Messi. He has got so much to show you,” he told Cassper Nyovest in an InstagramLive talk.
“Every week he has got something he can show. So let’s give him a chance to show,” said Mosimane in an Instagram Live with rapper Cassper Nyovest.
“So yes I would like to sign Percy, if Brighton agrees to sell Percy and we can pay Percy. First we must pay Percy.
“If we can pay him, Percy must come and show that he is the king of the jungle. So let him come.”
FilGoal are claiming that Brighton and Al Ahly will meet for final talks on Tuesday, which will also include the player himself in an attempt to finalise the deal.
