Pitso Mosimane has singled out five Kaizer Chiefs stars for praise ahead of Saturday’s CAF Champions League final against Amakhosi.
The South African coach addressed media in his pre-match press conference, explaining his side do not fear but respect the Glamour Boys.
Mosimane, who already spoke about a Chiefs’ danger man from set pieces, has now highlighted five more players of his opponents on Friday.
“They have also intelligent players. Nurko, who likes to take his own position, Castro is very good, same is Khama Billiat. Bernard Parker is very good with delivering of set pieces.
“They’ve got hard-working midfielders. And the goalkeeper also, if Itu (Khune) plays, he’s very good at starting counter attacks.
“They are a good team, a big team. We have to respect them. Because if you want to win you have to respect your opponents.”
Mosimane also reiterated that his team do not fear Amakhosi but respect their style of play which has brought them to the CAF Champions League final.
“It is not about the fear, it’s about reality and respect for the opponents,” he added.
“They play very good football in terms of their own way of playing and you’ve got to respect their own way because their way has shown them past Wydad, who are a very strong team.
“Their own way has shown them past Simba, who are not a small team. They wouldn’t be in the final if their way of playing was not effective.
“We know they are strong on counter attacks, very strong on set pieces, free-kicks and corner kicks.”
