With Pitso Mosimane flying the Mzansi flag allover the continent and worldwide, the South African coach has now received a special gift from Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.
The 29-year-old was named captain of the Egyptian national team under new coach Carlos Queiroz, who is assisted by former Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits coach Roger De Sa.
Mosimane must’ve left an impression on Salah after picking up four trophies as well as a bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup in his first year at Al Ahly, with the Egyptian hero now sending ‘Jingles’ a shirt.
“Mo Salah, thank you for the #10 Jersey you sent to me. I am really humbled,” Mosimane stated on his verified twitter account.
“You are an idol and hope for children globally and have proven that it is possible and doable.”
Egypt will take on Libya in a double-header in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers, facing them at home on Friday, 08 October before traveling to Libya for the second clash on Monday, 11 October.
They did start their qualification with four points, while Libya collected two wins, leading to the Pharaohs sacking their previous coach Hossam El Badry.
