‘Pitso Won’t Be At Al Ahly Next Season’

A former player has slammed Al Ahly’s performances under Pitso Mosimane, saying the South African is not doing as well as previous coaches.

Mosimane just oversaw his second Cairo derby victory over bitter rivals Zamalek, which means he has remained unbeaten in domestic competitions in Egypt.

The 2-1 victory on Sunday night also saw the ‘Club of the Century’ go three points behind Zamalek in the Premier League despite having three games in hand.

Ex-forward Alaa Ibrahim has now joined the Pitso critics in Egypt and insisted he cannot match Manuel Jose, who lifted 20 trophies with Al Ahly, including four CAF Champions Leagues.

“Mosimane can’t be compared to Manuel José,” Ibrahim said, as per Kingfut.

“I expect him to leave Al Ahly at the end of the season, because he didn’t add much to the team.

“Al Ahly are very inconsistent and under Weiler the team’s performance was much better,” he added.”

Despite the heavy criticism ‘Jingles’ is receiving in Egypt, his team keeps in winning games and lifting trophies.

He has already collected three titles since joining the club in September, namely the Egyptian Premier League, the CAF Champions League and the Egyptian Cup, while also adding a bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup.
