SA Winger Gives DRC A Try
A former Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City and Ajax Cape Town star has turned to the Democratic Republic of Congo to resurrect his career.
After leaving Cape Town Spurs in the GladAfrica Championship at the end of last season, Riyaad Norodien had been linked with a move to Egypt, but has now gone to the DRC to look for a new team.
A source close to the player told iDiski Times that the 26-year-old winger, who also played for Platinum Stars and Cape Umoya United, was invited to try out at DRC giants Motema Pembe.
A prolific youth talent at Ajax, Norodien made a high profile move to Pirates in 2016, but never quite settled at the Bucs.
But his career stagnated after that, but he will be hoping to impress in the DRC and turn things around.
