Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Pavol Safranko lifted the Romanian Cup this past weekend with Sepsi OSK.
The contract of the towering striker was terminated his contract via mutual consent as Sundowns brought in Abubekr Nasir and Marcelo Allende as new foreign signings.
He spent only one season at the club, after forking out a fee in excess of R10-million to sign him from the Romanian club he returned to a year later for free.
During his time at Sundowns, he won the domestic treble as he scored nine goals in 28 games but his style of play was notably not favourable for a long-term future as Masandawana look to move into a new direction.
But his return to Eastern Europe has seen him continue his run of silverware as they beat U Cluj 5-4 on penalties after the game finished goalless after extra-time.
Overall the Slovakia international scored seven goals and registered three assists in 35 games, in which he started 21 times.
