Yagan Sasman has given an update on his status ahead of Kaizer Chiefs playing Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of their CAF Champions League semi-final.
Chiefs won the first leg 1-0 in Morocco, and Sasman, who started the game, was substituted in the second half after looking uncomfortable.
But the former Ajax Cape Town defender says it was just a calf strain, and he should be fit for Saturday’s second leg.
“It was a lovely experience for us. We got an away goal. And ja, we have one step into the final, so we have one more game to go and ja, a good result would be perfect for us again,” Sasman told the club’s media department.
“Well, it was a hard fought battle, you know. We came out, we won the game, one goal. Ja, I haven’t played in a while but you know, I gave a good sixty minutes, pulled up with a calf strain, so ja, nothing nothing major. I’ll be ready for the next.
“Well, I’m feeling good. I’m feeling fresh, feeling fantastic. Ready for the match.”
Sasman added that the entire mood in the camp is good, and they are feeling well prepared for the game.
“I think the mood is really good with the players,” he continued.
“We’re all working together. And ja, we’re preparing well for the match.”
