Manchester United and England legend Paul Scholes has joked that he’s tired of being so complimentary to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team.
Scholes was speaking as an analyst after watching Klopp’s team beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in the English Premier League on Sunday.
The victory took the Reds back to the top of the EPL table, where they are level on points with Tottenham Hotspur, but Jose Mourinho’s side, who beat Arsenal 2-0, have a superior goal difference.
“I’m sick of being so nice about Liverpool!” Scholes jokingly said to Amazon Prime.
“They (Wolves) couldn’t cope with the press of Liverpool. They’re not the first team to not be able to cope with it, the last sixty-odd teams haven’t been able to cope with it!”
“Liverpool weren’t at their absolute best, but the goals, the three forward players, (Gini) Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, there’s some really special players.”
