Simba S.C. have given a travel update ahead of their clash with Kaizer Chiefs after their weekend-game was postponed.
The Tanzanian side face Amakhosi in the quarter-final first leg of this year’s CAF Champions League after topping Group A ahead of Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly.
However, their preparations were dealt a blow after their weekend fixture against Young Africans was postponed at the last minute.
Simba, though, announced on Monday that they will leave Dar es Salaam on Tuesday to travel to South Africa for their clash with Amakhosi on Saturday, 15 May.
“The squad will depart tomorrow from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg, South Africa to prepare for the quarter-final game of the CAF Champions League against Kaizer Chiefs which will be played on Saturday May 15, 2021,” the club announced in a statement.
Simba have just lost one of their 17 games in 2021 so far – a 1-0 defeat against Al Ahly in Cairo – winning six of their last seven games in all competitions.
