Sirino Wears Al Ahly Shirt Again

After already upsetting Mamelodi Sundowns fans and coaches around the first leg, Gaston Sirino has now again asked for the wrath of them after swapping shirts with an Al Ahly player.

The 30-year-old was close to joining the Egyptian giants in the recent transfer window, with even Pitso Mosimane confirming his side made an official approach for the Uruguayan.

Sirino publicly flirted with a move to Al Ahly before the first leg, saying he would like to wear the red shirt in future.

He was then pictured in an Al Ahly shirt after the match in Cairo, despite his side’s 2-0 defeat, with his antics clearly upsetting Downs co-head coach Manqoba Mngqithi.

“I would prefer not to comment on that because I think it’s outside the parameters of what I would have appreciated talking about,” he said at his pre-match press conference.

“But you’re right I don’t think it was appropriate for him to do that. It’s something I don’t really want to dwell on this much at this stage.”

Sirino now again wrote headlines after swapping shirts with Afsha after the second leg.

It remains to be seen whether his coach or club will react to Sirino’s antics and iDiski Times will keep you updated on all developments.
