Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech says he doesn’t care about being left out of the Morocco Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Speaking after his Man of the Match display in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Monday the Atlas Lions star brushed off his exclusion by head coach Vahid Halilhodžić.
After an alleged fallout with the Bosnian, the 28-year-old has yet to be called up to the national team since June last year.
“I’m doing my job and trying to perform as best as I can,” he told beIN SPORTS after the game.
“All the other stuff that’s going around outside of football it is not really important at the moment. At this point I don’t really care to be honest.”
The former AFC Ajax star has scored 17 goals and registered 10 assists for the North African side in 40 appearances since making his debut in 2015.
